Role Responsibilities
- Day to day tasks such as troubleshooting, change requests, system builds, routine maintenance and monitoring of client networks
- Assisting clients with resolving their issues over the phone, remote tools and onsite
- Building, servicing and repairing client device on the workbench
- Undertaking small-scale project work
- Assisting team members on larger IT projects
- Documenting and updating company intranet
- Spec and quote for clients using our distributors systems
- Liaising with clients and peer technicians
- Supporting Windows, Mac, Linux and vSphere infrastructure, Routers, Switches, Wireless networking, Antivirus & Backup management, Desktop Applications
What we will expect of you
- Exceptional technical problem solving skills, learn quickly, take the initiative but still have a considered approach when faced with new or unknown areas
- The role requires the building of strong relationships with their clients and team members
- You will be able to identify opportunity for growth and communicate these to the office team
- You will be responsible for managing and executing remotely or onsite the general day to day IT support requirements of their clients via the helpdesk system
- You will work alongside existing team members and be expected to assist on projects
- You will actively contribute to the development of the client’s network services
- You will form part of the technical support team and all team members are expected to share their knowledge to assist each other to get the best solutions for every job
Essential Requirements
- Computer Technology, Physics or Mathematics degree or equivalent qualifications
- A practical hands on approach and won’t be afraid to get stuck in
- You need to be positive and a solution solver
- ‘Can do’ attitude is essential
- Excellent written and spoken English
- DBS (previously CRB) checked or willingness to undertake this
- Clean UK Driving License
Desirable Skills
- Some experience in a 1st line support role supporting users onsite and remotely is desirable but not essential
